An Interview with Lisa
Q. What is your best memory/moment from one of your past birthdays?
A. They’ve all been special in their own way, but for my 39th birthday I took my family out for a wine tasting. Too much fun!
Q. How about the worst? And why?
A. For my 30th birthday I was rafting the Zambezi River in Africa. I was totally unprepared for how dangerous the river is… I saw my life flash before my eyes several times.
Q. What was the present you’ve received for your birthday that most surprised you?
A. My family chipped in to give me a weekend yoga/horseback ridding trip.
Q. Is there one food or dish that you insist in eating during your birthday celebration?
A. In recent memory, my Dad has taken to making the birthday cake for my sister and I.
Q. What do you believe is the most important aspect of celebrating a birthday?
A. Getting together with family for a big dinner.
Q. Do you/your family/culture have any traditions/rituals/ceremonies that are performed to celebrate birthdays? What is it?
A. No specific traditions other than family dinner.
