An Interview with Katia & Sabrina
Q. What is the best memory you have from a previous birthday?
A. Our best memory from a previous birthday happened the year our dad took us to Disney World. They gave us birthday pins to wear so everyone knew it was our birthday, and they treated us like VIPs!
Q. How about the worst? And why?
A. Our worst birthday memory happened a few years ago when we went out for dinner. The restaurant had been very busy that weekend and was out of nearly everything. The server suggested a new dish for us to try, but it was way too spicy. Thank goodness there was lots of birthday cake for dessert.
Q. What was the present you’ve received for your birthday that surprised you most?
A. The most surprising present we’ve received for our birthday was a big bottle of ketchup. At first, we weren’t sure why we received it. We do like ketchup, but that bottle was going to last us a long time. It all made sense after we opened our next gift though – a share in the ketchup company for each of us.
Q. Is there a food or dish that you insist on eating on your birthday?
A. On our birthday, we always insist on having two different birthday cakes, because one of us prefers vanilla (Katia), and the other, chocolate (Sabrina).
Q. What do you believe is the most important aspect of celebrating a birthday?
A. The most important aspect of celebrating a birthday is spending time with family and friends.
Q. Do you have any traditions or thing you always do to celebrate a birthday? What is it?
A. After the restaurant fiasco a few years ago, we always go to a buffet for our birthday dinner now. That way there is always lots of food for us to choose from!
