An Interview with Amanda

Q. What is your best memory/moment from one of your past birthdays?

A. When I turned 14, my 3 best friends and I went to an indoor disco roller blading rink. We dressed up like it was 1985! It was the best party ever.

Q. How about the worst? And why?

A. Umm… I never really had a bad birthday because no matter what, I’m always with my family. In grade 6, no one was available to come to my party so it was just my uncle and aunts… I guess it was not my expectation so it wasn’t the greatest.

Q. What was the present you’ve received for your birthday that most surprised you?

A. My guy best friend got me a gold elephant pendant necklace and told me about his feelings for me. He asked me out as the second part of the gift. Fortunately, the feelings were mutual and the necklace was so beautiful.

Q. Is there one food or dish that you insist in eating during your birthday celebration?

A. PASTA!!!

Q. What do you believe is the most important aspect of celebrating a birthday?

A. Being surrounded by peopele you love and who love you.
